Eden Hazard has revealed his admiration for Zinedine Zidane, admitting the French legend is one of his idols.
During an illustrious career that spanned two decades, Zidane won the Champions League and titles in Italy and Spain as well as the Ballon d’Or.
The legendary midfielder has continued to enjoy success as a manager, leading Real Madrid to three trophies since his appointment in 2016.
And Chelsea superstar Hazard insists Zidane is one of his footballing heroes, along with Ronaldinho, Juan Roman Riquelme and Lionel Messi.
‘For me, Zidane and Ronalinho are artists, Riqelme also – his way of moving, with his passes – and then Messi,’ Belgian playmaker Hazard told France Football.
‘What he does with the ball is incredible. I do not think I have that rank. Again, it’s up to people to say it, I do not claim to be an artist.’
Hazard’s praise of Zidane comes amid intense speculation linking the Chelsea man with a move to Madrid.
Zidane is said to have made the 26-year-old a top target ahead of the summer, although Premier League leaders Chelsea will hope to rebuff any interest that comes his way.
