Belgium coach Marc Wilmots is “not worried” about Chelsea forward Eden Hazard’s form ahead of Euro 2016.
The 25-year-old endured a difficult season at club level and failed to score in 26 Premier League appearances before netting a brace against Bournemouth in April.
However, Hazard went on to score against both Tottenham and Chelsea during the Premier League run-in to suggest he is regaining some of the form which helped him to be crowned PFA Player of the Year in 2015.
Hazard will captain Belgium in France this summer – due to the absence of regular skipper Vincent Kompany – and Wilmots expects the Chelsea man to deliver for the Red Devils.
“I expect of Eden that he will be decisive in France,” he told Belgian newspaper Sport Wereld.
“What I expect from him? He is decisive, that he serves his quality to the team.
“Eden is still only 25. He’s really looking forward to this European Championship, we need him even a little slow. But he remains a great football player.
“I’m not worried about Eden. He answers with his feet. He leads with his feet.”
Belgium have been drawn in a difficult group against Italy, Republic of Ireland and Sweden and Wilmots is adamant his side are not among the tournament favourites: “We are not a favorite, but an outsider,” he added.
