Thierry Henry said he now “believes” in Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, although he is concerned about the squad depth.
After a strong start to the season that saw the Gunners move to the top of the Premier League standings, Henry is optimistic about the team’s chances for the season.
Five new players were added to Arteta’s team over the summer. This includes Jesus, who joined from Manchester City and has already contributed three goals and three assists.
The club legend does, however, acknowledge that he is “worried” about the squad becoming overworked. Especially, as they start to balance domestic and European duties, with the Gunners competing in the 22/23 Europa League.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will travel to FC Zurich to open their Europa League campaign on Thursday.
What Did Henry Say About The Squad Depth At Arsenal?
‘I can see a team there, a togetherness, and I like that. The team is different but you’ve got the likes of Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka,” Henry said to CBS Sports.

“I believe in them. I haven’t believed like this for a very long time, believed that we could do something.
“But I worry about the Europa League because of the depth of the team. I think the starting XI is good enough but this is a long season so it might be a bit much for them.”
