Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has praised Eddie Nketiah after the youngster’s brace against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup and revealed that he was “not surprised at all” by his heroics.
Making just his second competitive appearance for the first-team, Nketiah scored moments after his introduction as a substitute to pull Arsenal level against the Canaries and the 18-year-old proceeded to score the winner in the 2-1 victory in extra-time.
What a night for @EddieNketiah9. So happy for him and not surprised at all!

Henry worked with Nketiah when he previously helped to coach Arsenal at youth level and the Frenchman was delighted with the starlet’s exploits.
Nketiah has been prolific for Arsenal at youth level over the past couple of seasons and has now provided an indication of what he is capable of achieving on the senior stage.
Possessing excellent technique and good hold-up play, Nketiah is an exciting talent and he will now hope for further opportunities to showcase his credentials, with his next chance likely to come against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League next week.
