Henry worried Tottenham will finish above Arsenal this year

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry thinks Tottenham have a strong chance of finishing above his former side this season.

Tottenham kept their second place spot over the weekend as a 4-0 home victory over West Brom on Saturday was followed by third-placed Liverpool being held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Spurs are enjoying the best form of any side in the Premier League with six wins on the bounce now ahead of facing Manchester City at the Etihad on January 21.

Arsenal meanwhile managed a 4-0 away win in Paul Clement’s first game in charge of relegation-threatened Swansea City to remain just one point behind Tottenham.

But asked whether he is worried that the Gunners’ arch rivals could end the season higher than Arsenal, Henry admitted he has his concerns.

“Why did you have to ask me that question?” Henry told Sky Sports on Saturday. “In all fairness, yes. It’s a little worry (he smiles).”

Tottenham have not finished above Arsenal in the top flight since the 1994/95 season when Spurs came 7th to the Gunners’ 12th place effort.

Henry never tasted defeat in the north London derby during his eight year Arsenal career, winning the Premier League title at White Hart Lane in 2004.

Up next for Arsenal is a home tie with Burnley who beat Southampton 1-0 at Turf Moor on Saturday thanks to a 25-yard free-kick from returning signing Joey Barton.
