Newcastle United fans have responded well to Bruno Guimaraes’ latest social media message.
Bruno Guimaraes has sworn to ‘bring on’ the 2024-25 season, and Newcastle United fans are certain he will stay!
The Magpies are determined to keep the Brazilian this summer. However, for the next four weeks, his future is out of their hands, since his £100 million release clause is believed to be active until the last week of June.

With Manchester City and Arsenal fans, there may be a nervous wait, but Guimaraes’ new social media post has inspired hope that he is staying put.
The 26-year-old posted a video of his top highlights from the previous season with the comment “The 23/24 season is over, bring on 24/25”. Supporters have responded in their hundreds, and many appear to share the same viewpoint.
Newcastle United’s stance
Guimaraes has been a revolutionary signing since joining from Lyon in January 2022. His first 18 months on Tyneside coincided with Newcastle’s climb from Premier League relegation to Champions League qualification.
Despite finishing outside of the European places this season, Guimaraes has remained an essential part of the club, appearing in all but one of its 38 league games. He scored seven goals in total.
United boss Eddie Howe has made it clear he wants to keep Guimaraes.
“When it’s something you don’t necessarily have control over, I don’t tend to worry about,” Howe said previously. “I think it goes without saying what my thoughts on the Bruno situation are.
