Howe hails Wilson rise

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has praised the progress made by Harry Wilson this season and feels there is even more to come from the attacker. Wilson is currently enjoying a fourth loan spell away from Liverpool, having been a key figure in helping Derby County reach last season’s Championship play-off places, only to fall short in the final at Wembley against Aston Villa.
The Wales international is now thriving in the Premier League with the Cherries and is only behind Callum Wilson when it comes to the goalscoring charts this term at the Vitality Stadium.
Howe has been impressed with how Wilson has already developed in his relatively short time on the south coast and the Cherries boss feels there is still much more to come from the 22-year-old Welshman. “He’s done really well. You sometimes forget it’s his first season in the Premier League because he’s not been fazed at all,” he told the Daily Echo. “He’s come in and attacked the games. He’s built up a really good relationship with Adam Smith. I think you could see that developing (against Man United). “He’s given us really nice balance with the left-footer on the right. He’s scored some key goals for us and again he’s another player that I think through time and experience and getting to know the group even more, hopefully there’s a lot more to come.”
Wilson is currently preparing for internationals against on Azerbaijan on Saturday and then Hungary on Tuesday, with Ryan Giggs’ side aiming to earn a place at Euro 2020.
The Cherries loanee will be back for Premier League action on November 23 when Bournemouth host Wolves at the Vitality Stadium.
That encounter sees two sides level on points battle it out on the south coast, with just one goal on goal difference separating the two teams.
