Nico Hulkenberg seems set to leave Formula 1 at the end of the season and would be open to a move to IndyCar. The German is without a seat in Formula 1 in 2020 as Esteban Ocon will take his place at Renault. Williams have the only available spot on the grid and Hulkenberg isn’t interested in joining his former team. It has been suggested Hulkenberg could take a test or reserve role with another F1 team but it appears as if he intends to remain in competitive racing. The 32-year-old says he is “relaxed” over his future and in no rush to commit himself, although he admits a move to IndyCar could be an option. “I guess yes, on one side yes,” Hulkenberg said when asked if IndyCar was a possibility, as reported by Crash.net. “To be honest, my state of mind is pretty relaxed. I want to finish the season as successfully as possible, and after that rewind a little bit, take a moment or two or three for myself, see what I want to do, see what seems of interest. “I am certainly not having the feeling that I want to rush into something just to race. I am pretty relaxed about it.”
