Arsenal legend Ian Wright worries Gabriel Magalhaes will be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in the win over Fulham. Gabriel was forced to leave after only 16 minutes, with Jakub Kiwior replacing him.
Arsenal went on to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Mikel Merino and a returning Bukayo Saka, with Rodrigo Muniz scoring a late consolation for Fulham. However, Gabriel’s departure is significant ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final match against Real Madrid.
And Wright believes Gabriel’s absence will be a “major blow” to Arsenal, with the 61-year-old implying his season may be gone. “It is very concerning because, for me, the way he’s pulled up, that’s not two weeks,” Wright told Premier League Productions.

“That’s at least six weeks; depending on what happens at Arsenal, he may be gone for the season. But that is a huge blow for us; there is a huge difference between having him and not having him. He is an important part of Arsenal’s operations.” Reported By Mirror News.
Karen Carney, a fellow analyst, added: “I think when you’re chasing [Adama] Traore in the first 15 minutes, that’s when he started to really stretch himself.” You noticed him pull up right immediately.
“It’s troubling because of how many hamstring injuries Arsenal has, and it’s even more frightening because they’ll be facing Real Madrid in seven days, and you need this player in your team, so it’s a little concerning.
“Consistency, the pairing of the centre-backs, his physicality, mentality, and standards; every good team requires two solid, consistent centre-backs.” It would be a major blow if it was a long-term situation.”
