Arsenal legend Ian Wright has slammed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and claims the Swedish striker has become a ‘passenger’ at Manchester United.
The 35-year-old forward scored five goals in his first six appearances at Old Trafford but he’s scored just one goal in his last seven matches.
The former Paris Saint-Germain was signed on a free transfer from France but question marks linger over his ability to adapt to the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney has been dropped from United’s team in recent weeks but former Gunners hero Wright believes Ibrahimovic has been as bad as the England captain and has become a ‘passenger’ at the Theatre of Dreams.
‘Zlatan Ibrahimovic needs to look at himself,’ Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
‘Wayne Rooney has been given so much stick this season with the way that he is played.
‘Ibrahimovic is a great player but he isn’t playing anywhere near as well as he was at the start of the season.
‘He hasn’t been able to make me think he will be able to help them turn it around. He is a passenger.’
