Former Barcelona, PSG and Manchester United striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic pointed a finger at Erik ten Hag for the escalating crises at United this season.
The ex-Swedish international has also urged the hierarchy of the club to consider the future of the Dutchman.
With four losses in their first seven games, Ten Hag has watched United experience their worst Premier League start ever. The Red Devils also lost their season-opening Champions League match against Bayern Munich two weeks ago.
The 53-year-old led Ajax for five years before taking over at Old Trafford. He won three Eredivisie championships and two KNVB Cups. Despite his success in winning trophies, Ibrahimovic is becoming worried that he may not be the ideal fit for United.
While playing for the Red Devils, the former striker won the Europa League and the Carabao Cup. In addition, he fears that Ten Hag won’t be able to manage a team of superstars as opposed to the young players he worked with at Ajax.
What Did Ibrahimovic Say About Ten Hag?
“Coming from Ajax to United as he did is a big difference — I have been in both clubs. You have a different kind of discipline.
“Ajax is a talented club. They have the best talents in the club. They don’t have big stars,” Ibrahimovic told TalkTV as cited by The Mirror.
“What is the experience of this coach? Young talents, he comes to United, it is a different mentality. The players there are supposed to be big stars. I don’t think you give the same treatment.

“How much time do you give a coach? It depends on the owners, what they want.
“But if you listen to the fans, you don’t have a lot of time because they want to win, and I understand them because they are used to winning and they want to still win.”
