Manchester City talisman, Erling Haaland sustained an injury in Norway’s 2024 Euros qualifier tie against Faroe Islands. Pep Guardiola is made to sweat as his side are set to host Liverpool after the international break.
The 23-year-old was introduced at halftime in the 2-0 triumph. But he appeared to hurt himself at the conclusion of the game as he stretched to connect with a teammate’s cross in the 87th minute.
According to Liverpool Echo, after the game, national team doctor Ola Sand allayed concerns that Haaland might miss a significant amount of time due to the injury. Stating that the injury was identical to one the striker sustained earlier this month when playing for City.
“It was much of the same that happened against Bournemouth a week and a half ago. He has had it before too”, Sand told TV 2.
“He gets a slight twist in his ankle, where he is a bit vulnerable. It hurts a lot right away, and then it goes away pretty quickly. Then we’ll see tomorrow how he is then.”
Three days later, after being substituted out midway through Manchester City’s 6-1 thumping of Bournemouth on November 4, , Haaland was cleared to play in City’s Champions League victory over Young Boys.

It’s unclear, though, how the Norwegian will respond to this most recent setback in his injuries.
The 23-year-old is scheduled to play for Norway on Sunday against Scotland. After which he will go back to Manchester to get ready for City’s match against Liverpool on Saturday, November 25.
