Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco has admitted that he is open to leaving the European champions amid reported interest from Manchester United.
Isco was one of the most talented midfielders in Spain growing up but, after three years at Real Madrid, he is still struggling to nail down a firm spot in their starting line up due to competition for places.
In his position, he faces competition from James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and even Luka Modric so started just 21 games in La Liga last season – eight of which he finished the full ninety minutes.
The 24-year-old has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities on a regular basis for Real Madrid so has admitted that he’s open to leaving next summer if things don’t change.
“If I’ve still only made a few appearances by the end of the season, I’ll look elsewhere,” Isco said, via the Daily Express.
“At 24 years of age I have to right to better myself.”
Manchester United, according to the Mirror, are interested in the Spanish midfielder as they lack a creative number 10 to operate behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Wayne Rooney was dropped by Jose Mourinho recently while Juan Mata is normally operated on the right-hand side of attack.
