Jamie Carragher Downs Beer On Live TV After Being Egged On By Dortmund fans

Anarchic Borussia Dortmund supporters urged legendary Liverpool player Jamie Carragher to gulp a beer live on television.

In order to participate in the CBS crew for the American network’s coverage of Dortmund vs. Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semifinal, the former defender has flown to Germany. Even though he had work to accomplish throughout the match, he made sure to take in the atmosphere before to kickoff.

Speaking surrounded by a bunch of fans decked out in yellow, Carragher said: “Just got outside the stadium. We are at Signal Iduna Park with all of the Dortmund fans. They absolutely adore me!

“Come on, let’s get a picture! And I’m going to get a pint. I need a drink to cool me down, to calm my nerves for the big game.”

Carragher began downing the beer quickly after receiving a pint, all the while listening to Dortmund supporters yelling, “Drink, drink, drink.” The social media video ended before Carragher had consumed his entire pint.

The legendary player from Liverpool got into many amusing situations besides his pre-match antics. Carragher interrupted the pre-match anthem for Dortmund and Liverpool, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and made Peter Schmeichel leave the conversation.

“I told Jamie earlier that at last there’s a group that can sing that song!” was the Dane’s reply. “What I can guarantee is that that song will be sung a lot better when you hear it tomorrow,” Schmeichel continued.

In another instance, Carragher’s coworkers celebrated a decision regarding his position on CBS. Due to an impending trip, Kate Abdo made it known that he would not be in the studio.

We’re going to find out, she said in a speech the night before. Have we mentioned that you’re visiting Dortmund already? We will discuss Jamie’s journey to Dortmund, but who will take Jamie Carragher’s place? After the break, find out.

Then Carragher responded in a hilarious way, saying, “Whoever it is, it won’t be better than me.”

“Who’s taking my place?” Carragher asked later, to which Abdo replied: “Everybody, breaking news. Del Piero for Carragher.” That news then triggered colleague Micah Richards to cheer loudly.
