It seems that none of the Arsenal players have managed to impress Chelsea captain John Terry enough this season, with the defender choosing to snub the Gunners in his PFA Team of the Year.
In a picture posted on his official Instagram account on Thursday, Terry revealed his picks for his PFA Team of the Year selection – with seven Leicester players making the cut.
With the Foxes edging ever closer to winning their first Premier League crown, Terry opted to pick Kasper Schmeichel in goal, Robert Huth and Wes Morgan in central defence, Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante in midfield while Jamie Vardy takes up one of his attacking positions.
Players cannot choose their teammates in their PFA XI, but Terry did decide to pick former Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand, now at Southampton, in defence while he did not fail to leave out Dimitri Payet and Harry Kane in his side either.
Payet has lit up the English top-flight since arriving at West Ham from Marseille last summer, and the Frenchman’s fine form this season earned him a place in Terry’s team while Spurs star Kane – who is currently the Premier League’s leading goalscorer – joins Vardy up front.
