Jude Bellingham Breaks Cristiano Ronaldo’s Record After Scoring Again For Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham remarkable start to life at Real Madrid continued on Sunday, when he scored again in their 3-0 win over Cadiz, breaking a record shared by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bellingham joined Real Madrid in the summer for an initial fee of £88.5 million and has made a quick impact. This season, the midfielder has 14 goals in 15 appearances across all competitions, with Real Madrid presently leading La Liga and undefeated in the Champions League.

And with his goal against Cadiz, he has now scored more goals in the club’s first 15 games than any other player in the club’s history. With 13 goals in their first 15 games, Ronaldo, Alfredo di Stefano, and Pruden Sanchez are just behind Bellingham.

Bellingham was fit to play after missing England’s recent Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Malta and North Macedonia due to a shoulder injury, but he was replaced as a precaution by Lucas Vazquez immediately after scoring his goal.

“Bellingham is fine,” Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti informed fans ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League match against Napoli. “He still has some problems in his shoulder but he feels fine with the protection.”

Former Real Madrid defender Aitor Karanka, who won three Champions Leagues with the club, has been blown away by Bellingham’s influence. “I had no surprise or doubt,” he told Mirror Football earlier this month, “but maybe one surprise is just how quickly he’s done this.”

I remember when Zizou arrived here, the first month or two months, he was not as good as he was at Juventus or later on. It’s Real Madrid.
