Jude Bellingham scored a stunning goal in his Real Madrid debut but the opposition team rebuked him for his trademark celebration.
The teenage English star, who is known for celebrating his goals with outstretched arms, was told by Athletic Bilbao players that “you can’t do that here”.
After signing a lucrative £86 million contract to join Los Blancos in the summer of 2023, Bellingham made an immediate impression on the Spanish team in his first game on August 12, 2024.

Bellingham scored in their first game of the 2023–24 season versus Bilbao.
He calmly met a high corner at the far post, lobbing the ball over the head of the goalkeeper.
Reminiscent of his heyday at Borussia Dortmund, he dashed to applaud in front of the supporters after putting on his new Real Madrid uniform for the first time.
When he chose to adopt his well-known, arms-spread position and gazed up into the crowd, some of Bilbao’s devoted supporters mocked him.
As soon as the midfield player finished his joyous celebrations, Iker Muniain of Bilbao approached him and angrily warned him not to agitate the local supporters.
However, Bellingham acknowledges that the Spanish player’s caution was ignored, reports Mirror.
“When you celebrate against an opposition, you’re not doing it to provoke them; you’re just celebrating because you’ve scored,” the England player said on his new YouTube account. Yes, I raised my arms in delight, just as I usually do.
“A few of their players approached me and told me, ‘You can’t do that here,'” in memory. Since I haven’t listened, I will probably continue.
