It is assumed that his sentiments and thoughts are at odds with Red Bull’s sporting project’s image.

The carbonated beverage giant has made investments in football teams on three continents, altering their colors and insignia to reflect Red Bull’s style.

On social media, supporters of Klopp’s old team, Borussia Dortmund, have been especially outspoken in their hatred for RB Leipzig, the German team owned by Red Bull, reports 90 Min.

During Mainz’s Bundesliga match against Leipzig, fans used the occasion to make a number of banners criticizing their previous manager and player.

After listening to everybody else’s unfavourable opinion, Klopp gave his own take. “I really don’t know what exactly I could have done for everyone to be happy,” the German coach said.

“I didn’t want to step on anybody’s toes, definitely not and personally I love all of my ex-clubs,” Klopp explained.
