Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer transfer window.
Last summer, the Senegal international decided to end his long-term association with Napoli by heading to Stamford Bridge.
However, the £33m acquisition has struggled to justify his price tag, with a number of hasty mistakes contributing to him not always being first choice.
While Koulibaly has made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in all competitions, it remains to be seen whether he will be deemed a key player by the next head coach.
Chelsea have a number of options in the middle of their backline, including Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, and Trevoh Chalobah.
With Chelsea unable to retain six high-profile central defenders, at least one exit is inevitable, with Koulibaly appearing to be the most likely candidate.
According to Gazetta dello Sport, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has told club officials that he is interested in signing the 31-year-old.
Allegri is said to be a long-time admirer of Koulibaly, who has established himself in Serie A, and would ideally like to pursue a deal for his signature.

Juventus were recently granted a reprieve from their previously imposed 15-point penalty, propelling the team back into the Champions League qualification places in Italy’s top division.
In theory, that gives the Turin giants additional funds to spend during the summer, and Allegri is said to seek a player of Koulibaly’s stature.
Despite the fact that a transfer is uncertain due to Koulibaly’s allegiance to Napoli, it is reported that the player is unhappy at Chelsea and may be open to leaving.
