Juventus Considers January Transfer For Schick, 7 Years After Failed Medicals

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is looking at a January deal for Patrik Schick, who failed medical tests in Turin seven years ago.

Dusan Vlahovic’s latest injury appears to have persuaded Juventus to seek a new centre forward during the January transfer window.

The Serbia international has been diagnosed with a slight muscular injury, but he is the only striker available at the Allianz Stadium, as Arkadiusz Milik, who underwent surgery last month, will not return until January 2025.

According to Gazzetta, Juventus is investigating Bayer Leverkusen forward Schick as a potential winter transfer target.

In the summer of 2017, the 28-year-old was on the verge of joining Juventus after undergoing medical tests with the club.

The Serie A club declined to conclude the agreement with Sampdoria after medicals, therefore the Czech Republic international joined Roma a few weeks later.

According to Gazzetta, Juventus are interested in loaning out the ex-Giallorossi forward, who is struggling for playing time under Xabi Alonso and has only started five games in all competitions this season.

Schick has 16 goals in 78 Serie A outings for Sampdoria and Roma. His Bayer Leverkusen contract expires in June 2027.
