Juventus are reportedly keen on signing Manchester City defender, Joao Cancelo this summer transfer window.
According to Football Italia, the Old Lady have continued talks with cancelo’s agent, Jorge Mendes about the possibility of signing the player, who has previously been in their books.
Cancelo’s return to Turin is something Juventus are interested in, and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is in talks with Mendes, the Portuguese player’s agent. Il Corriere dello Sport reported that the Juve director has stepped up negotiations with the defender’s agency.
Prior to joining City in a player-plus-cash trade with Danilo, Cancelo starred for Juventus in 2018–19.
After a one-season loan at Barcelona, Cancelo is not in Pep Guardiola’s plans. Corriere dello Sport reports that Thiago Motta, the new coach of Juventus, would be happy to work with the Portugal international at the Allianz Stadium.
Cancelo is valued at €25 million by Manchester City, but the Turin club are pressing for a loan agreement with a buyout option.

The 30-year-old would also have to reduce his wage if he wants to join the Serie A giants. At Barcelona, Cancelo was paid €6 million a season. However, the Bianconeri cannot afford to pay him more than €4.5 million due to budgetary constraints.
Cancelo made 42 appearances for Barca across all competitions last season. He scored 4 goals and made five assists as the Blaugrana club came second in Laliga.
