Paul Pogba’s Juventus return has been cut short due to a knee injury, which has forced the France international to miss the club’s pre-season preparations. After departing for a second stint with Man Utd, the former Bianconeri star returned to the Turin team six years later.
However, the World Cup champion has returned to Massimiliano Allegri’s team, where he first made his name, after more than a tumultuous half-decade at Old Trafford, to join up for a sophomore stint.
Pogba was forced to miss Wednesday’s match against Barcelona in Texas due to a problem with his lateral meniscus, and both player and coach may now be anxious about making the start of the new season.

What Did Juve Have To Say About Pogba’s Injury?
“Following complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus,” the club confirmed in an official statement on Monday.
“In the next few hours he will undergo a specialist orthopedic consultation. Therefore, in order to continue treatment, he is not taking part in the trip to Dallas.”
Following his consultation, the Bianconeri did not give a date for the Frenchman’s return to play for the team, but depends on the seriousness of the injury, he may not be ready for the start of the upcoming Serie A season.

Pogba has returned to the Allianz Stadium as the prodigal son eager to make good on his promise after ending his Turin exodus after six years at Manchester United, which was usually deemed trying for all parties concerned.
The Bleus star has struggled to regain the early form he displayed at Old Trafford, which led to Europa League victory and a role in France’s World Cup-winning side for the 2018 tournament in Russia.
The playmaker’s quality remains among the finest in the game, and Allegri will hope to have him back at his disposal as soon as possible. His first game back, a harmless one against Chivas as part of Juventus’ overseas pre-season tour, may not have entirely allayed concerns about his form.
