Juventus forward Timothy Weah could be sidelined until 2025 after suffering a thigh injury in Tuesday’s encounter against Cagliari. According to the club’s official statement, the United States international had more testing on Wednesday to determine the severity of the issue.
“Following the muscular problem suffered on Tuesday night in the Coppa Italia match against Cagliari, Timothy Weah underwent clinical and instrumental examinations this morning at J|Medical, which revealed a low-grade injury of the femoral biceps of the right thigh,” the newspaper’s article stated.
Weah came on as a late substitution in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia match against Cagliari, which ended 4-0. However, he was forced to leave the pitch after assisting Nicolas Gonzalez for the fourth goal. This is the third little fitness setback he has experienced this season.

Despite periodic injuries, Weah has had a tremendous season. Indeed, he has four goals and four assists in 18 games in all competitions. That represents a big improvement over his first season at Juventus.
As things stand, Juventus will be without Weah for Sunday’s trip to Stadio Brianteo against relegation-threatened Monza. More crucially, he will most certainly miss the forthcoming top-four six-pointer against Fiorentina, adding to an already lengthy injury list at the Allianz Stadium.
On the positive side, he should be available for Thiago Motta’s mouth-watering Supercoppa Italiana semi-final against fierce rivals Milan on January 3. Juventus will face their ancient rivals in Riyadh at the start of the new calendar year.
During Weah’s absence, Juventus could look to Samuel Mbangula to fill the void.
