Nigeria youth international Kelechi Nwakali has confirmed he was at Arsenal’s training ground yesterday ahead of his move to Arsenal.
The talented attacking midfielder, who was excellent for his country in their success at the U17 World Cup, has been linked with a switch to the Gunners for several months.
Reports had suggested that Nwakali was poised to complete his move to Arsenal today and, while the club have yet to make an official announcement regarding the transfer, it appears to be only a matter of time before the deal is ratified.

Once Nwakali signs it remains to be seen what the plan for him will be for this coming campaign, with some reports indicating that the youngster could be sent out on loan in order to further his development.
Arsenal, who created 464 chances in the Premier League last season, are renowned for providing young players with opportunities to impress in the first-team, and Nwakali will doubtless be encouraged by the progress made by his compatriot Alex Iwobi last campaign.
It appears that Nwakali will become Arsenal’s fourth signing of the transfer window following the signings of Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding. There could well be further arrivals at the club before the conclusion of the transfer window, with the Gunners on the lookout for a new centre-back and a striker.
Arsenal get their Premier League campaign underway with a home game against Liverpool on August 14th.
