Napoli Centre-back, Kim Min-jae has slammed persistent rumors about his future amid reports of a summer transfer to Manchester United.
The 26-year-old South Korean international has performed superbly in his first season in Italy since moving from Fenerbahce to Napoli last July.
He has been instrumental in the Italian team’s ascent to the top of the Serie A standings. And their historic first-ever UEFA Champions League quarterfinal appearance.
He has featured in 35 appearances across all competitons and has scored two goals for Luciano Spalletti’s team this season. He has delivered a string of consistently strong displays. Cementing his status as the “best center-back in the world,” in Spalletti’s view.
As a result, he has recently been linked with numerous renowned clubs from all over Europe, including United. Despite having plenty of options at center-back, the Red Devils have frequently been linked with a deal for the former Beijing Guoan star.

However, Kim has downplayed the persistent rumors regarding his future, calling them “not true at all.” Additionally, he has stated that he is entirely concentrated on matters in Naples.
“As you know, those rumours are not true at all,” said Kim. “I want to focus on my team. I have many tournaments to play.
“It’s been for years I have had these rumours. It’s uncomfortable. I wish you don’t spread those stories.
“I cannot be bothered by transfer rumours because they aren’t true. Now I’m focusing on the team, rather than that kind of nonsense. There are so many important matches to go and right now I only want to focus on Napoli,” Manchester Evening News claimed.
