Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae will reportedly join Manchester United on July 1 with personal terms already agreed.
In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about the South Korea international’s future, with his performance throughout the 2022-23 season attracting the attention of a lot of big clubs.
Kim Min-jae played 35 times for Napoli in the Serie A, scoring twice and assisting twice, and he appeared nine times in the Champions League, helping the Italian giants reach the quarter-finals.
PSG have recently been connected with the 26-year-old, while Newcastle United allegedly had talks with the defender’s agents towards the end of last season.
However, Man United are thought to be the front-runners for the South Korean, and according to Il Mattino, a transfer to Old Trafford will become official on July 1.
According to the report, Kim Min-jae would earn almost £9m per year with the 20-time English champions, who are set to trigger a release clause in his contract.
The buy-out cost is reportedly £42m, and it goes into effect at the beginning of July, implying that a deal will not be completed until next month, despite the fact that the transfer season is already officially open.

The defender joined Napoli from Turkish giants Fenerbahce last summer, having previously played for Gyeongju KHNP, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and Beijing Guoan.
Man United’s defense is now well-stocked, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane creating an effective pairing all through the most of the 2022-23 season.
Man United are also looking to add a center-forward and a central midfielder this summer, with at least one goalkeeper expected to arrive since David de Gea’s current contract expires on June 30.
