Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp appeared to aim a sly dig at Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho after his side’s 2-1 win over West Brom.
The Reds looked comfortable for much of the match before Gareth McAuley capitalised on some sloppy set-piece defending to make it a nervy finish at Anfield.
However, Klopp is not too bothered about his side’s generous defensive record as he celebrated picking up another three points to continue a strong start to the season.
The German’s choice of words, however, suggest he may still have been bitter about Mourinho’s approach when United visited Anfield and played for a 0-0 draw on Monday night.
Asked after today’s game if he was disappointed to concede a goal, he said: ‘Actually, no. Who wants a clean sheet when you’ve got 3 points?’
This is not the first time this week that Mourinho’s approach has come under fire, with his replacement at Chelsea, Antonio Conte, also saying he would never set up his sides to play for a draw like that.
