Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has aimed a snide dig at a Premier League club following the Reds 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park which subsequently rose the club to the summit of the table.
According to FourFourTwo, Klopp spoke on Monday night at a test event for Liverpool’s new Anfield Road stand, which increased the stadium’s capacity to 57,000. And is scheduled to officially open on Sunday when they host Manchester United. The German gaffer participated in a Q&A session covering a variety of topics.
Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia both rejected Liverpool in favor of moving to Chelsea during the summer transfer window. Klopp now feels “lucky” about the turn of events.
“The summer we had, we had a few strange things happen in the transfer market,” Klopp said. “But between us, I can say, my god were we lucky.
“We didn’t know it in that moment, didn’t feel like it in that moment. I am really happy that it worked out like that.”
In the summer, Liverpool reached agreements with both Lavia and Caicedo, which were viewed as significant acquisitions for their midfield revamp. Both players did, however, ultimately end up moving to the west-London club, where things haven’t exactly gone as planned.

Since joining the Blues, Lavia hasn’t played a single minute of football. And Caicedo hasn’t experienced much success in making an impact on the Chelsea team, who are currently ranked 12th in the Premier League.
However, Liverpool have benefited more from the additions of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and even Waturo Endo, as they lead the Premier League going into the upcoming schedule.
