Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed a couple of his dream transfer targets, with Real Madrid‘s Toni Kroos and Barcelona‘s Sergio Busquets among them.
Klopp’s Liverpool side are currently fighting it out for a place in the top four, but the German tactician will be aware that his side must improve from last week’s home defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield to deal a big blow to the Reds’ top four hopes, but they have a chance to make up for that when they travel to Watford on Monday.
However, taking some time away from the stress of trying to cement a Champions League place, Klopp was asked this week which players he would buy if money was not an issue for his Liverpool side.
“Busquets is only 28, right?” Klopp told Marca. “What a player! And it seems that he’s been playing 16 years in that position.
“Toni Kroos is an exceptional player, a genius. He’s so subtle with the ball.”
Liverpool will certainly need to bring in players of that sort of quality this summer if they are to have a successful 2017/18 season.
Supporters are wary of the lack of quality within Liverpool’s ranks this season, with injuries proving that they do not
necessarily have enough strength in depth.
