Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp lavished out praise on Jarell Quansah for his incredible performance in Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over LASK in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Goals from Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and a brace from Cody Gakpo gave the Reds a convincing win over the Austrian team. But youngster Quansah seems to be the most impressive in the encounter.
As the overwhelming favorites to win their Europa League group, Liverpool had to wait until yesterday to secure the top spot due to their loss to Toulouse.
While the goal scorers are deserving of much recognition for their efforts, Klopp was particularly drawn to Quansah.
The 20-year-old’s performances never cease to astound everyone. Not even Klopp could have predicted him to be as good as he has been. But he appears to be a very gifted player. After the match, the German showered him with compliments.
“Jarell played a super game, that’s true. That couldn’t be better news for the club, to be honest”, Klopp told Liverpool’s official website as reported by TBRFootball.
“I think before this season a lot of people told us we should buy a centre-half. We knew we had Jarell. Did we know that he will show up like this? No, not exactly, but we were pretty hopeful, so the future is bright. It’s cool.

“Our own boy, calm on the ball, good in the challenge, quick, ruthless in the right moments and besides Caoimhin, who had one or two saves.
“[He] probably had the most spectacular defensive situations when he saved our backside in some moments. So, that’s really good. [It’s] top news for us.”
