UEFA Releases Euro 2024 Team Of Tournament; Spain Dominates

UEFA has announced the 2024 European Championship team of the tournament following its conclusion on Sunday, July 14, when Spain defeated England to win the Henri Delaunay Cup.

During England’s seven-game run to the final, the Manchester City right-back started all of them.

The 34-year-old was instrumental in helping England advance through the tournament in the round of 16, setting up Jude Bellingham’s overhead kick with a long throw into the area.

However, he came under fire for a throw-in in the championship game when he decided to go behind fellow City defender John Stones when England had just tied the score and were pushing forward.

The best player of the competition is none other than Rodri, a fellow City player, reports Football 365.

According to a report published on UEFA official website, Nico Williams, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz, Marc Cucurella, a full-back for Chelsea, and 17-year-old Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal were also in the tournament squad.

Switzerland’s Manuel Akanji, who missed a penalty in his team’s shootout loss to England in the quarterfinals, Germany’s Jamal Musiala, and France’s Mike Maignan, the goalkeeper and defender William Saliba, completed the starting lineup.

English professional football player Kyle Andrew Walker leads Manchester City and plays right back for the England national team.
