Paris Saint-Germain easily defeated Montpellier 6-2 on the road on Sunday, thanks to a hat-trick from the irrepressible Kylian Mbappe. This victory gave them a commanding 12-point lead atop Ligue 1. PSG took the lead at the Stade de la Mosson thanks to goals from Vitinha and Mbappe, but Montpellier responded with a header from Arnaud Nordin and a penalty from Teji Savanier to draw even at halftime. But soon after the break, a fantastic Mbappe goal gave PSG the lead again, and Lee Kang-in made it 4-2 before the France captain finished with a hat-trick.
Nuno Mendes put the seal on the victory late on, as Luis Enrique’s side ended a run of three successive draws in Ligue 1 and extended an unbeaten domestic record stretching back to September.

A 1-1 draw for nearest challengers Brest against Lille earlier on Sunday means the Parisians are now 12 points ahead at the Ligue 1 summit with only eight games left, and a 10th title in 12 seasons is an inevitability.
Mbappe completed the whole 90 minutes of a Ligue 1 game for the first time since informing the club in mid-February that he intended to leave at the end of the season when his contract expires.
With his third hat-trick of the year, he now has 24 goals in Ligue 1 and 38 goals overall.Reported by Arab News.
The 14th minute saw Portugal’s Vitinha open the score, collecting a feed from Mbappe 25 meters out and firing a low shot into the bottom-right corner.
After setting up Randal Kolo Muani for a counterattack goal, Mbappe raced to recover the ball and send it into the far corner from a close position to make it 2-0.
