The 25-year-old has since kept up his stellar play for the French powerhouses, but his current deal is coming to an end; he only has six months left on it.
It has been revealed by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he will do every effort to persuade Mbappe to stay in the capital for at least an eighth season.
Mbappe has acknowledged that he wants to take on a new task at some time in the future, but he has stressed that he is still entirely focused on trying to help PSG win another Ligue 1 championship and a Champions League trophy.

While Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Mbappe in recent months, any move is now in doubt with manager Jurgen Klopp leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
