Alexandre Lacazette is set to travel to London to complete a move to Arsenal worth around £52million, reports say.
Arsene Wenger made 26-year-old striker Lacazette one of his priority targets this summer but looked set for disappointment with Atletico Madrid leading the chase.
But the La Liga outfit were hit with a transfer ban earlier in the year, meaning they would be unable to sign any players until January 2018.
With Atletico out of the race, Arsenal stepped up their interest in Lacazette in recent weeks and have agreed to pay an initial £46m for the Lyon man.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the France international will now travel to London to complete his medical and officially sign for the Premier League club.
Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas spoke out on Arsenal’s interest in his player on Sunday, denying that the prolific goalscorer was already in London.
However, Lyon are believed to have reluctantly agreed on a £46m fee – a transfer record for the Gunners – which could rise to around £52m with a variety of add-ons.
