LaLiga President Insists Xavi Departure Still Reversible

Just like Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, Xavi Hernandez’s decision to leave FC Barcelona has shocked people around the world.

The Blaugrana boss declared his intention to step down at the end of the season after the team’s loss to Villarreal. But it’s telling to know that even a Barcelona legend like Xavi has lost motivation due to pressure.

The Catalan giants are still searching behind the scenes for a replacement in the wake of this news. While almost everyone thinks that this is the last campaign that fans will see Xavi at Barca, one important actor in La Liga disagrees.

According to SPORT as reported by Barca News Network, La Liga President Javier Tebas is not yet certain that Xavi will leave Barcelona. In fact, he thinks that between now and June 2024, the manager may have an alteration of heart. Even though Barça may be having troubles on the field.

“There’s a long way to go until June 30, and who says he won’t stay at Barcelona? We have to wait.”

“It happened so recently that I haven’t had much time to think about it. These are decisions that happen in clubs, some come and some go.”

“It reflects what happens when there are sporting crises, which occur in all clubs, whether they are doing well or struggling financially.
