Leeds United’s hunt for a new manager is expected to extend into the next week.
According to The Athletic, the club is still in the interview process and no decision on who will be appointed has been made.Brendan Rodgers, on the other hand, is seen to be unlikely to take up the post.
The former Leicester City manager has been favored by the Leeds hierarchy, although he has stated his opposition to moving down to the Championship.
Instead, Rodgers has been linked with a return to Celtic, where he had a huge success between 2016 and 2019.
As a result, Leeds has moved on to other targets, namely Daniel Farke and Carlos Corberan.
Corberan is said to have a £2 million release clause, which could let him to go from West Brom to Elland Road before pre-season begins in July.

Farke, who has won two Championship titles, is currently unemployed and could be signed as a free agent.
Scott Parker is another possible target, but he is also being pursued by rivals Leicester City.
The players are scheduled to return on July 2, thus any managerial appointments must be made before they return from vacation.
With the interview process still ongoing, this leaves a short timeline in which to make a decision.
The club is also involved in a takeover issue, with 49ers Enterprises agreeing to buy Andrea Radrizzani’s remaining 56% ownership.
This gives the Americans complete control of the club, as well as Elland Road, as the summer transfer window approaches. However, the agreement is still subject to EFL clearance before it can be finalized.
Who should Leeds United appoint as their next manager?
With no new director of football in place, the next manager will have a lot of responsibility in overhauling the first team squad, with several players expected to depart.
Leeds will need to put their faith in the new manager to be able to handle recruitment as well as improving the players that remain.
Corberan has a great record at this level, it would also weaken a promotion rival to take him from Albion and he knows the club having worked there as assistant to Marcelo Biela in the past, which could make him the ideal potential appointment.
