Lewandowski Gets Death Threats Amid Bayern Transfer Saga

Robert Lewandowski has drawn criticism from some of his fans After declaring his desire to leave Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich this summer. Since the striker revealed his desire to join Barcelona before the 2022–23 season, he has been the target of online death threats.

According to Bulinews, Lewandowski has now returned to Germany for preseason training with Bayern Munich, leaving his wife and children behind.

The 33-year-old is looking forwards to the completion of his transfer to Barcelona in the upcoming weeks as the La Liga giants are rumoured to be preparing a final offer to Bayern Munich for the forward. Lewandowski has enjoyed eight fantastic years with the German Bundesliga champions, winning eight league titles and one UEFA Champions League title with the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich Set Deadline For Finalizing The Lewandowski Transfer

Robert Lewandowski is reportedly pushing for a transfer to Barcelona, thus Bayern Munich has given itself till Saturday, July 16 to resolve the transfer saga.

The Bundesliga champions want to settle Lewandowski’s fate this week to prevent fan backlash before the start of the new season.

Negotiations between Bayern Munich and Barcelona are expected to heat up in the coming days, as the Bavarians have placed his asking price at 50 million euros.

It was previously stated that Chelsea are currently in the running to sign the Poland striker, and that Barcelona’s attempt to get Robert Lewandowski this summer appears to be on the edge of failing.

Lewandowski, who spent the last eight seasons with the Bundesliga winners at Bayern Munich, has made it clear that he wants to leave this summer. It is said that Barcelona, Chelsea, and PSG are all interested in the forward.

The Polish international has long chosen Barcelona, but the Catalan giants are struggling to meet Bayern Munich’s £42 million asking price.
