Liberia head coach Peter Butler is confident his team can beat Nigeria in Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture, reports Completesports.com.
The Lone Stars will face the three-time African champions at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos in the match day one encounter.
The Super Eagles are overwhelming favourite to beat their fellow West Africans but Butler has backed his team to secure maximum points in the game.

“It’s going to be a tough group and favourites Nigeria have got qualities and are heavily funded compared to us,” the former Botswana coach was quoted by scorenigeria.
“But I am going to back myself against any coach in this group.
“They have Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, I could name more, but we’re going to be competitive and I believe we’re going to upset a few teams on the road.”
The Lone Stars contingent are expected in Lagos on Tuesday.
