Bundesliga Outfit Told They Have ‘No Chance’ Of Signing Man Utd Star After Ten Hag Vetoed Transfer

Despite their interest, Manchester United have advised Eintracht Frankfurt that they have ‘no possibility’ of signing Victor Lindelof this summer.

There will be plenty of changes at Old Trafford this summer, but Lindelof is one player who may stay.

After failing to establish himself under Erik ten Hag, the Swedish defender finished the 2022-23 season with four goals.

With Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez both out with injuries in 2023, victor stepped up.

The 28-year-old made 14 league starts and appeared in 35 games across all competitions.

Eintracht Frankfurt attempted to sign Lindelof in January, but Ten Hag quickly vetoed the transaction, keeping him at the club.

The Bundesliga club now has ‘no chance’ of signing Lindelof this summer, according to BILD.

With Evan Ndicka expected to leave this summer, Frankfurt was eager to get the Swedish defender as his successor.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, definitely sees a future for Lindelof at Old Trafford and wishes to retain him there for the foreseeable future.

His contract with Manchester United extends until 2024, with an option for a further year.

While Ten Hag is looking for another defender this summer, he is still interested in signing Lindelof.

Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly will be available on the market, but selling them may be difficult.

Tottenham are thought to be interested in Maguire, but the 30-year-old is claimed to want to stay.

Despite his lack of playing time this season, Maguire appears to be prepared to “fight for his place.”

While Ten Hag seems keen on getting rid of Maguire, the Dutch boss was full of praise for Lindelof in the second half of the season.

“He’s playing fantastic,” Ten Hag told BBC back in May when discussing Lindelof.
