Lionel Messi has stated that he does not want to be a coach after his successful career. The Argentinean scored in every stage of the 2022 World Cup, completing a career that has left defenders in awe for two decades.
Messi, the current headlining act in Major League Soccer, shows no signs of slowing down. He scored two hat-tricks in a week last month for Argentina and Inter Miami, which the 37-year-old confessed will likely mark the end of his playing career. For the time being, he is content to continue playing for David Beckham’s team.

Despite the fact that he has yet to rule himself out of the 2026 World Cup, Messi’s great career will come to an end soon – however if the man himself is to be believed, he will have no desire to return to the touchline.
“I wouldn’t like to be a coach,” Messi told 433 when questioned about his post-retirement plans. “But I’m not sure what I’ll be. “All I think about is playing and having fun.”
Messi’s days at the top of world football will soon be over, and the Argentine wants people to remember him for his achievements as a player.
“Let people remember me however they want,” Messi continued. “I’m glad for the career I’ve had and for achieving my dream of winning a World Cup, which I worked so hard for and paid so much for. I was fortunate to win with Barcelona and the National Team, and I have a lovely family. I’m grateful.
