Inter Miami substitute Fafa Picault scored his first goal in the 89th minute, Lionel Messi scored his first of the season, and the team won 2-1 at Atlanta United after coming from behind.
Miami won despite six saves from Atlanta goalkeeper Brad Guzan, who helped Atlanta defeat Messi’s team in a best-of-three, round one MLS Cup series last year.
Messi’s goal on Sunday marked only his second regular-season appearance for Miami, which has already played eight games due to Concacaf Champions Cup competition. The Argentinian star forward had missed three games due to muscle exhaustion before coming off the bench in a 2-0 victory over Jamaican club Cavalier FC on Thursday night. Reported By Ajazee News.
Emmanuel Latte Lath scored his 60th career goal in the 11th minute, giving Atlanta an early lead.

Messi’s goal in the 20th minute tied the game at 1-1 until the small Picault’s game winner one minute from time – an unbelievable header that somehow wrong-footed Guzan and nestled inside the far-left post – gave Miami the three points.
It was Picault’s first goal for his sixth MLS team, Miami, after moving from Vancouver this offseason.
Inter Miami now has three victories and one draw, moving them to the top of the MLS Eastern Conference with ten points after four games. Atlanta’s season record now stands at one victory, one draw, and two losses.
