Liverpool have reportedly made the move to sign Real Madrid teenage star, Arda Guler in the summer.
In the summer of 2023, Guler moved from Fenerbahce to Madrid. Expectations were high when the teenager, who is often regarded as Mesut Ozil’s second coming, arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 19-year-old hasn’t established himself as a mainstay in the first team, though. Guler can play as a winger or an offensive midfielder, but even when fit and available, Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has not utilized him frequently in the starting lineup due to injury issues.
Guler, who has mostly played as a winger this season, has only made one Champions League start and six La Liga starts.

According to Fichajes as reported by Team Talk, Guler is open to leaving Madrid during the summer transfer window in order to join a club that would provide him more playing time.
Several teams have previously “inquired” with Madrid over a possible transfer for the Turkey international, including Liverpool.
When Guler was at Fenerbahce, the Premier League side made an attempt to sign him. But Madrid persuaded him to turn down a move to Anfield and instead choose the Santiago Bernabeu.
Arne Slot’s side believe they could get a second chance and “strengthen their midfield with a player of great potential” now that Guler is willing to leave Madrid.
It’s interesting to note that the report has already mentioned the Reds’ interest in Guler.
The Spanish news source stated in October 2024 that Liverpool and Arsenal had increased their efforts to sign the attacker.
