Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly enquired about the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Ecuador international has made an impression in the Bundesliga. And according to Sky Germany as reported by Caught Offside, it appears he will be free to leave his current team this summer if an offer of between €50 and €60 million is made for him.
The gifted 22-year-old appears to be drawing the greatest interest from Arsenal and Liverpool thus far, as a summer transfer appears to be a real possibility.
It will be interesting to watch if more teams enter the race for Pacho’s signature soon. This is because he appears to be a fine talent who might be suitable for the best teams in the Premier League.
Arsenal have plenty of quality options in the defensive end of the field. So they might not be prioritizing the signing of another defensive player just yet. Even though they will want to make sure they have as much depth in their squad as possible.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are Mikel Arteta’s outstanding center-back duo. But Ben White, Jakub Kiwior, Jurrien Timber, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also capable of playing at a high level in that position.

Liverpool, on the other hand, may require a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, who is getting older. And Joel Matip, who is nearing the end of his contract and is no longer at the peak of his game.
There appears to be room for someone like Pacho to enter and provide the club’s next manager with more options at the back. Because the Reds have other respectable young players in that position.
