Liverpool Consider Summer Move For Adrien Rabiot

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot with the Frenchman’s contract expiring at the end of the season.

The France international’s contract in Turin is set to expire at the end of June, and he is reportedly planning to depart the Old Lady on a free transfer in search of greener pastures.

Liverpool are keeping a careful eye on the situation, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, and are considering a move for the 27-year-old.

Rabiot can now hold talks with foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract with a team outside of Serie A.

Juventus are not thought to be optimistic about keeping the Frenchman, with the Old Lady possibly missing out on European football for the 2023-24 season.

The Turin giants are presently 10th in Serie A, 11 points behind sixth-placed Atalanta BC and 13 points behind fourth-placed Lazio.

Rabiot joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and has played 154 times for the Italian club, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists.

Last summer, the Frenchman was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, and it was assumed that he was on the verge of joining the 20-time English champions.

But, a move to Old Trafford is alleged to have fallen through due to his pay demands, and he has been a key player for Juventus this season, scoring six goals and registering two assists in 25 games.

Liverpool are expected to sign a couple of new central midfielders this summer, with the Reds faltering in that area during the 2022-23 season.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Rabiot, who played 227 times for PSG before joining Juventus on a free transfer.
