Liverpool have reportedly been handed a major injury boost as Trent Alexander-Arnold is said to be back in training ahead of the Reds’ Merseyside derby clash with Everton.
Due to a knee injury sustained during the second half of the Reds’ 2-0 Premier League victory against Bournemouth on February 1, the England right-back has missed the team’s last two games.
A final decision about Alexander-Arnold’s fitness will be made on Wednesday. On Monday, however, he resumed partial training with Liverpool.
According to The Evening Standard, manager Arne Slot is hopeful that a strong performance on the eve of the game will put him back in contention for Wednesday’s rescheduled trip to Goodison Park.

Joe Gomez, a fellow defender, will not play against Everton, though, as he suffered yet another injury early in Championship strugglers Plymouth’s shocking FA Cup fifth-round defeat on Sunday.
With Gomez still receiving more evaluation, Slot has now acknowledged Liverpool’s concerns that the issue is impacting the same leg.
“Trent has done part of a training session with us yesterday so let’s see how he is today,” the Dutchman told reporters at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday morning.
“He will train hopefully with us again today and then we will decide if we take him to the game.
“Joe, it’s the same leg again where he had the injury last time so we are still assessing that but he will definitely not be available tomorrow. It is a concern [that it is the same leg].”
