The Reds are reportedly interested in the right-sided Bayer Leverkusen wing-back or winger, who is one of Europe’s most sought-after assets, though insiders have stated that negotiations are still in their early stages.

According to sources who spoke to the PA news agency, Trent Alexander-Arnold joining Real Madrid would be the clear “domino factor” that would spark Liverpool’s interest.

There are rumors that an agreement has now been reached for the England international to join the European champions.

The 24-year-old Frimpong rose through the ranks at Manchester City, but since joining Leverkusen from Celtic in 2021, he has had a significant impact, helping them win the Bundesliga last season and advance to the Europa League final.

It is also believed that Frimpong has drawn interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea, reports Mail Online.

He was also a member of the Netherlands team that advanced to the Euro 2024 semifinals.

Social media has been utilized previously by Liverpool fans to try to convince Frimpong to sign with the team.

A certain Northern Irishman would pose a major threat to Frimpong if he decided to relocate to Merseyside.
