Liverpool and OGC Nice have started “negotiations” to sign Khephren Thuram this summer, according to Football Talks.
Last summer, the 23-year-old was identified as one of the options Liverpool was considering to bolster their midfield unit. Nevertheless, they ultimately decided to pursue other objectives and never formally expressed their desire to sign him.
Liverpool is still interested in signing Thuram even if they passed on him the first time. Additionally, it has been stated that Liverpool intends to “take a step forward” in order to sign the young player and has initiated “negotiations” with Nice in order to finalize the agreement.
Nice would be willing to cash in on Thuram should an offer of about £26 million come in, allowing Liverpool to get him for a reasonable sum.
Given that Thuram’s contract is about to expire, Nice would be compelled to offload him this summer to avoid losing him for nothing the following season.

Therefore, Liverpool might be able to negotiate a lower price and sign the player for less than the rumored £26 million.
In addition to being a skilled player who can play in the box-to-box role, the 23-year-old is also capable of playing holding midfield.
The Nice star can dribble and is strong and dynamic in addition to being technically sound.
The dynamic and strong Nice player also possesses good technical skills, the ability to play threading passes between the lines, the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight spaces, and the ability to contribute defensively.
Therefore he may be a wise addition.
