Liverpool Interested In Premier League Star

Liverpool are reportedly interested and are willing to sign Nottingham Forest defender, Murillo whether Virgil van Dijk stays at the club or not.

Since replacing Jurgen Klopp in the summer, Arne Slot has led the Reds to a wonderful season so far, so there doesn’t seem to be a pressing need to bolster the squad.

The future of key players Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk, who are all only a few months away from being free agents, is still a concern in the background.

Murillo might be Van Dijk’s best long-term replacement, however, CaughtOffside reported that regardless of Van Dijk’s future, Liverpool may make a move for the Forest’s Brazilian defender.

Murillo has made a big impression while at Forest, and the 22-year-old is rumored to be on Chelsea’s radar. If he continues to play well, other elite teams will undoubtedly become interested as well.

In order to avoid missing out, Liverpool would be wise to move swiftly for him. He will undoubtedly play a part in Slot’s team, either directly replacing Van Dijk or as a temporary partner before eventually taking his place in the starting lineup.

Although Murillo would find it difficult to decline Liverpool, Forest won’t want to lose such a key player. Therefore it’s possible that they will feel pressured to accept the deal, provided the conditions are also advantageous to them.
