Liverpool Key Defender Called ‘Worst On The Field’ In England Clash

The domestic press blasted Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas as “the worst on the field” following England’s 3-0 victory against Greece on Thursday night.

Tsimikas played 57 minutes for the Greeks before being replaced by Dimitrios Pelkas with the score at 1-0. It was a memorable night for England, who easily defeated Greece to go up to the top of their Nations League group.

Ollie Watkins and Curtis Jones both scored goals for England against Greece, while Odysseas Vlachodimos’ own goal completed a decisive evening for interim manager Lee Carsley.

When Jones scored on his England debut, he was the star of the show, reports Mirror.

However, his Liverpool teammate Tsimikas was completely destroyed by Greek outcast Ta Nea, who thought he was the weakest player on the field.

Calling him “the worst on the field” , their verdict was as follows: “Given that he plays in Liverpool and you expect something more from him, Kostas Tsimikas didn’t help much while he played and also missed the chance in the 30th minute when he had the chance to pass to [Giorgos] Masoura, who was waiting alone.”

Alexis Mac Allister, a member of Argentina’s team that was shocked 2-1 by Paraguay, too had a difficult time playing for his country.
