Liverpool ‘Likely’ To Table Offer For Premier League Defender As Transfer Battle Unfolds

Liverpool are reportedly likely to bid for Bournemouth defender, Milos Kerkez next summer as race to secure his services heats up.

According to TEAMtalk as cited by Liverpool Echo, the Reds have “genuine” plans in place for the Cherries left-back in 2025.

Bournemouth have set an asking price of £40 million before the 2024/25 season begins. And Liverpool are “likely” to make an offer to buy Kerkez next summer, according to the source. Whether the Cherries will raise the 21-year-old’s transfer ffee before the season ends is still up in the air.

Manchester United are seemingly going to compete with Liverpool for Kerkez’s services. Additionally, it has been said that Bournemouth anticipate Kerkez leaving the side at the end of the current campaign.

According to reports elsewhere, Liverpool will have more competition in the hunt to lure in Red Star Belgrade midfielder, Andrija Maksimovic. Earlier reports stated that the Reds are interested in signing the 17-year-old next season.

Maksimovic might be available for about €5 million (£4.2 million), according to the story. The report further added that the Reds will compete with Manchester City and Chelsea for Maksimovic’s services in 2025, in addition to Juventus.

After the year’s last international break, Liverpool are getting closer to returning to the Premier League. In an attempt to maintain their strong start to the season, the Reds will play Southampton this weekend.
